Meet Nicole Hayes

Nicole is a registered dietitian who’s all about helping people build a better, more relaxed relationship with food. She believes food should be energizing, enjoyable, and something that brings people together—whether that’s around the table, at a party, or in the kitchen cooking up something fun. In Nicole’s world, all food has a place and a purpose.

Nicole is a Certified ARFID Specialist and works closely with clients who are navigating ARFID (Avoidant/Restrictive Food Intake Disorder), picky eating, and pediatric feeding challenges. Her goal? To help folks feel more confident around food and gently expand the variety of things they feel good about eating. She uses a mix of hands-on food experiences—like tastings, cooking, and low-pressure food exposures—plus education and support to make eating feel less overwhelming and a lot more doable.

She also supports clients working through disordered eating and eating disorders, using a compassionate, “no judgment” approach to help rebuild trust in food and the body.

Nicole’s background is a unique blend of nutrition and culinary arts. She earned her bachelor’s in culinary nutrition from Johnson & Wales University, completed clinical training through Metropolitan State University of Denver, and holds a Master of Science from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln. Before starting Feed the Day Nutrition, she worked in eating disorder treatment settings across all levels of care as well as in the outpatient setting. And before that, she trained in baking and pastry and spent time whipping up delicious treats in bakeries and restaurants!

So whether you’re struggling with restrictive eating or just trying to make peace with food, Nicole’s here to help—judgment-free and with plenty of support (and maybe a cookie or two).
